Why it is essential

The cost of non-compliance is far higher.

Occupational health and safety and environmental protection are not optional in Peru: they are legal obligations enforced by SUNAFIL and OEFA. An accident or an inspection finding can cost lives, fines, stoppages and contracts.

Occupational health and safety

Law No. 29783 and its regulations, Supreme Decree 005-2012-TR

Every employer, whatever its size, must identify hazards, assess risks, train its staff, monitor their health and prove it with records.

What you risk without it

  • Serious and fatal accidents that could have been prevented.
  • SUNAFIL fines of up to 52.53 UIT for each very serious infringement.
  • Stoppage or prohibition of work when there is serious and imminent risk.
  • Criminal liability for the employer for endangering its workers.

Environment

General Environmental Law, Law No. 28611, and sector regulations

Companies must meet the commitments of their environmental management instruments, control their impacts and report to the authority with verifiable evidence.

What you risk without it

  • Environmental damage and conflicts with neighbouring communities.
  • OEFA fines that can reach 30,000 UIT.
  • Stoppage orders and the obligation to remediate the damage.
  • Loss of permits, contracts and corporate reputation.
  • 52.53 UIT Maximum SUNAFIL fine for a very serious OHS infringement
  • 30,000 UIT Cap on the fines OEFA can impose
  • 8 years Maximum prison sentence if non-compliance causes death or serious injury (Criminal Code, art. 168-A)
  • 1 accident Is enough to stop an operation and lose a client’s trust

Prevention costs far less.

A preventive audit costs a fraction of a fine and protects what no penalty can repair: the life and health of your people.

Reference amounts under current Peruvian regulations. Penalties depend on company size, number of workers affected and the seriousness of the infringement. UIT: Peru’s tax unit.

Why FIDUCIA

A programme, not loose services.

All six lines share one method and one lead. You can start with a single audit and grow into an annual QHSE programme that combines audits, critical risks, health and training.

Environmental management

From environmental commitments to field evidence.

We define reviews around the activity, environmental management instruments and the obligations applicable to each operation.

01

Aspects and impacts

Activities, environmental aspects and criteria for prioritising impacts.

02

Water and effluents

Controls, records and commitments; monitoring needs within the agreed scope.

03

Waste and materials

Segregation, storage, traceability and handling controls.

04

Air, noise and surroundings

Relevant sources, measurement records and control measures.

05

Environmental commitments

Evidence, responsible staff and obligation tracking.

06

Life-cycle perspective

Purchasing, resource use and disposal considered to avoid shifting impacts between stages.

Measurements and tests included in the scope are defined in the proposal, together with methods, responsibilities and applicable accreditations.

Quality · the Q in QHSE

Management you can check and improve.

Quality is reflected in information control, performance evaluation and corrective action. These criteria complement QHSE work.

01

Document control

Versions, records, ownership and access to operational information.

02

Useful indicators

Tracking criteria linked to objectives and agreed scope.

03

Nonconformities and actions

Deviation records, cause analysis and corrective-action follow-up.

04

Audit and continual improvement

Internal process reviews and verification of improvement effectiveness.

Consulting support is not ISO certification and does not guarantee a certification body’s decision.

Prevention and preparedness

Prepared people. Reviewed controls.

We combine document review with worker participation and field verification. Needs are defined for each operation.

01

Hazard identification

Review of risk assessments and the relationship between tasks, exposure and controls.

02

Worker participation

Consultation, hazard reporting and learning from operational experience.

03

Incident investigation

Cause analysis and action follow-up beyond individual blame.

04

Emergency preparedness

Review of scenarios, roles, resources, coordination and exercise needs within the scope.

Assessment supports improvement; it does not replace operational controls or immediate emergency response.

Would you pass an inspection?

Eight questions, one minute. Tick what your organisation already has and see where your biggest occupational health and safety gap is.

  1. Do you have an OHS policy signed by management and shared with staff?
  2. Is your hazard and risk assessment (IPERC) up to date for every task and role?
  3. Do you have an active OHS Committee or Supervisor, with current minutes?
  4. Do all your workers have occupational medical examinations?
  5. Have you identified your critical risks and do you verify their controls in the field?
  6. Do you deliver at least four OHS training sessions a year, with records?
  7. Do you record and investigate every accident and incident?
  8. Has your OHS management system been audited in recent years?
